Okay, you’ve found my blog. Congratulations. I hope you enjoy it.
If you don’t, well I don’t care. The only audience I’m writing for here is me; most of the articles I write (or will write) are my attempts at brain dumps. Sometimes I write them so I can refer people to them. Other times they’re just for my reference later.
In other words: leave your complaints at the door. Don’t like an idea that I put down? Well, you’re free to comment on it, and I’m free to ignore you (and I will). You’re also free to respond in your own forum; in fact I’d much rather you did that. This particular soap box is mine. 🙂
If you like an idea here, feel free to steal it. You can leave an appreciative comment if you like; my ego likes to be stroked as much as the next guy’s. Feel free to ask questions as well; I’m happy to explain if people don’t understand something (though I’m more likely to explain in a separate post, and I’m more likely still to ignore it).
What sort of things can you find here? Mostly my musings about various things Java related. I don’t want to use this like a diary (my life isn’t that interesting that I think anyone would care about it besides me, and anyway I value my privacy), so I’m going to use this to assist my professional life by keeping notes related to my career of choice. I’m a J2EE developer these days, so most of this will be about Java. I’m fairly agnostic, technically, so there may be other types of techincal stuff as well. But you won’t find me journalling about my cat, or my reaction the “last episode of Friends”. If you want that sort of post, go elsewhere.
Also, don’t expect articles that often; if it averages more than once a week, I’ll be amazed (there’s a cluster at the start because I copied articles over from an earlier site).
Other than that: feel free to read what I’ve got here. Just remember to wipe your feet on the mat before you track mud through the house.
